Historic Boutique Hotel

Hotel Prince de Conde is a boutique hotel in a 16th-century building on rue de Seine, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The interior blends antique elements like an 18th-century ceramic stove with modern art from Marco Del Re. Rooms feature elegant marble bathrooms with bathtubs and showers, Designer Guild fabrics, and soundproof walls. Some suites include a hot tub and separate living areas with city views.

Dining & Lounge

The hotel serves breakfast in a 13th-century vaulted room with original stone walls. Guests can relax in the lounge area near reception, which offers a selection of newspapers and magazines. The surrounding streets, like boulevard Saint-Germain, are lined with cafés, bistros, and restaurants, including Tony's Pizza and Carmine's Italian Restaurant.

Art & Wellness

The hotel displays original artwork, including a bronze sculpture by Catherine Masson. Bathrooms feature Fragonard toiletries scented with 'Figuier Fleur,' inspired by Provence. Some suites include a hot tub, and the lounge has an electric fireplace for cooler evenings.

Central Paris Location

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Mabillon Metro Station and a 10-minute walk from Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. Nearby landmarks include the Luxembourg Gardens (0.5 km), Musée d'Orsay (1 km), and the Pantheon (1.5 km). Rue de Seine is known for its art galleries, antique shops, and quiet charm.

My stay at the hotel was a delightful mix of rustic charm and luxury. The spacious rooms with balcony windows offered a lovely touch, blending the old world with a hint of elegance. However, some areas showed signs of wear and tear, like tired bed covers and chipped furniture, slightly diminishing the overall experience.

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring Paris, with easy access to major attractions like the Seine, Louvre, and Notre Dame. However, the basement setting felt a bit cold and lacked warmth.
Dining

The dining experience was wonderful, especially the typical French delights like baguettes and pastries. Although the cellar setting for breakfast was cozy, I would have preferred having it in the sunlit cafe for a brighter start to the day.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and nicely designed with interesting arches and warm inviting furniture. They were pretty spacious with a big tub, which was a pleasant surprise considering the generous size for Paris standards. The service was friendly and accommodating, making my experience even more enjoyable. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the Louvre and the heart of exciting St Germain, offering a perfect blend of convenience and charm. However, the dining area was a bit limited, being in a small basement space. Overall, a great value for the price with top-notch cleanliness, comfort, and service.
